How far is The Laundry from Houston? +
About 1 hour on US-290 — a straight, easy shot from most of Houston. We’re also 1.5 hours from Austin and 40 minutes from College Station, making us a perfect central Texas meet-up spot for guests coming from different directions.
How many guests can the venue hold? +
We’re the sweet spot for 50–150 guests. Our main floor comfortably seats 100–130 (up to 175 standing). For smaller groups, our upstairs ballroom is perfect for up to 55 seated. We also offer an intimate elopement package for 25 or fewer.
Can I bring my own alcohol? +
Yes! We’re proudly BYOB, which saves most couples a significant amount compared to venues with in-house alcohol markups. You just need to bring a TABC-licensed and insured bartender — we recommend at least one per 75 guests. We’re happy to provide referrals.
Can I bring my own catering? +
Absolutely. You can bring any licensed and insured caterer (they’ll need to visit the space ahead of time). We’ve got connections to great local vendors — from world-famous Brenham BBQ to affordable catering starting around $15/person. Just ask!
What does the all-inclusive package actually include? +
Catering, bartending (you provide the alcohol), officiant, DJ, silk florals & candles, linens, bouquet & boutonnière, and a dedicated on-site coordinator. The Full package adds up to 150 guests and a honeymoon suite overnight stay. Basically, you just show up and get married.
Where do guests stay? +
The couple can stay in our on-site apartment suite (sleeps up to 4). Downtown Brenham has charming walkable options including the Ant Street Inn and Main Street House. There are also tons of Airbnbs nearby — Rosalinda Farms is great for larger groups.
Is parking available? +
Yes — street parking plus several lots within a block or two. For larger weddings, we recommend hiring a valet for a smoother guest experience. We’ll send you our parking map when you book.
Why is it so much cheaper than Houston venues? +
Simple: we’re in a smaller town with lower overhead. We pass those savings straight to you. You get a better space, more flexibility, and a more personal experience — for a fraction of what city venues charge. It’s kind of our whole thing.
